clrmehppygrl's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Willy Wonka's First Half The new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie was absolutely amazing. Well... at least, up until the Blueberry Scene, it was amazing. Okay, well, it was amazing, the parts up to that point that I saw.. you know, when the power wasn't going out in the movie theatre. And why is it only amazing up until the Blueberry Scene? Because that's all of the movie that we got to see. Munchkin got terrified at that point. He wanted nothing more than to go home. You may wonder why we'd take a 3 year old to go see a PG movie directed by Tim Burton, who does not really DO children's movies for the most part. Well, it's because he asked to go. He had gotten an Oopma Loopma doll, and I asked him if he wanted to see "The Oopma Loompa" movie. And his eyes lit up, and he said, "Oooh, momma! Lets go see the Chocolate Factory!" He knew about the movie and he was seriously excited. He was jumping up and down all day long. I should've known better. Leave it up to me to fall victim to the commercialism of it all. Funny, considering how that's what the movie has a lot to do with, as well.
