There is something strangely satisfying about payday errands that I run about every other week. You know, banking, bills, grocery shopping. I wouldn't call it fun, per se, but definitely satisfying. It's such a wonderful feeling now, to know that I'm putting money away for our future, to be able to go to the grocery store and not have to worry too much about price. Which means much more buying of the organics, since they are a little pricey, but well worth it! It's nice to know that my credit card is being paid on time every month, that our phone won't be shut off, and we have a little extra to run on just in case. I was able to get us some vitamins today. Something I've been putting off forever, and I've finally just gone and done it. Generic Publix brand, but vitamins nonetheless. They're usually the same as the more expensive name brands anyway. The only thing I need to do still is get probably 2-3 more canvas bags for the groceries. I'm trying to start to use my own bags instead of the throw-aways. I have this wondering 12 gallon sized insulated bag that we bought, oh, probably last year and only used once. I love the thing. I can fit all of my cold stuff in there and then some. It's heavy as all hell once it's full, but easy to carry because you can sling it over your shoulder. Accomplishing every day things feels good, especially when you don't have to worry too much about keeping in a super-tight budget. I feel good.
