clrmehppygrl's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neice's Birthday Party Yesterday went off fairly well. "The Asshole" was there as soon as we pulled up and I realized how very little he's changed. I'm really glad that I'm not an attractive woman when I'm forced to be around him. I'm glad that he would only ever touch me if he were drunk. I'm glad he doesn't remember. I'm glad it was so long ago. He's matured a bit. More responsible, more into his family. At least that's what it seems to me when he's around his daughter, and other kids. He's thrilled that he's finally going to have his boy. And he loves that my step-sister is pregnant, he's very into the pregnant belly thing. The day was fun, for the most part. I got lobster-ized, as did hubby, even though we both put on sun-screen. Luckily I did a better job on the munchkin, he only got a little tiny pink on his shoulders. Nothing like the raw hamburger look that we have. The park was nice. Lazy river, kid's pool, and an actual swimming pool. The swimming pool was heated, which was a nice change from the freezing temps of the river and kiddie pool. I'm glad I had my son and husband to focus on all day. Between the high frustration level that my step-sister was feeling, the way my heart-raced around "the asshole", and the whole ordeal of meeting new people and playing nice, they were a welcome diversion. Something about "the asshole" that bothers me the most is that he's a very attractive man. He has always had the same boyish good looks. The baby face, great smile, dimples, and ripped body. That's what bothers me the most. He knows he's good looking, he knows that I had a crush on him when I first met him. He knows he can charm the snot out of anyone.
